Let's break this one down, shall we? Black tights. Pink tutu. Gold obi belt. Burgundy cape. Wonder Woman headband. Mardi Gras necklace as bracelet. Red shiny shoes. Ability to pick up coat off the floor not included.

Halloween Redux

Edie had two ideas for Halloween, the high holy day for a permaprincess like herself. The first idea was "ghost box". What's a ghost box, you ask? An undead package, as pictured here:

Her other idea required much less explanation - "waitress" - what every young girl aspires to be.

Divinity

This is a "tie" she wore to a doctor visit this week (read: special occasion), really just a scarf I crocheted for Elmo last winter. (He was cold.)

I'm concerned about these poses and think that maybe our little talk about Jesus after a visit to the National Gallery last week may have given Edie the wrong impression about what we expect of her.

The Second Coming

Little Edie decided to wear her chopsticks home after dinner at an Asian restaurant on the Upper West Side. A Geisha, perhaps?  
No, she says, they're thorns. 
Oh.     
I see.     
We all know where this is headed. The rapture is upon us and it's gonna be cute as a button.

Menswear, Edie style

Impressed with her father's short-sleeved t-shirt over long-sleeved, Edie created her own version of this laid-back weekend style. 

Here's another Edie take on menswear: she noticed the gold "59fifty" stickers on local baseball caps and  decided to leave the "Toddler Size, Excellent!" sticker on her hat to recreate the look.

Pre-Hoarder Fashion

Here's Edie wearing a cat collar as a necklace. Chic! Clever! you say? Here's the thing of it: we don't have a cat. We did but now we don't. Was the collar from one of your dearly departed furry friends? No. The cat who wore this is alive and well and living in Virginia. Did the cat at one time live with you? No. Well then, why do you have its collar? Good question. Look for us on the next season of "Hoarders".

Snow White waiting to be kissed

You'll notice here that Snow White prefers two different shoes and that she passes out face down, requiring that Prince Charming turn her over for true love's first kiss. Her friend D-man is doing a sensory deprivation thing while he waits for his turn.

Our Little Edie is using a Pride ribbon as a fastener for added flair. That, combined with her necklace from Chief Plenty Coup's Montana home and Mardi Gras beads, make her the clear winner here.

Toilet paper as pillbox

This is a pillbox hat made with a headband and toilet paper. It won't hold up in the rain but it's very chic.
